Abstract:

To provide a fibrous adsorbent which strongly supports a chelate resin without damaging excellent function such as metal adsorptivity of the chelate resin.

A microparticle of the chelate resin with metal adsorptivity, preferably with an average particle diameter of not more than 1.0 μm, is mixed into a viscose stock solution for fiber spinning manufactured by a known method. Next, the stock solution for fiber spinning is spinned by an ordinary wet fiber spinning process into a fibrous metal adsorbent. Consequently, the fibrous metal adsorbent can be obtained which can exhibit the function possessed by the chelate resin successfully for a long time, without the microparticle of the chelate resin with metal adsorptivity falling apart from the cellulose fiber.
