Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve dispersibility and strength characteristics by including a water soluble film forming polymer, trialkoxysilane, cationic fiber lubricant, epichlorohydrin polyamide reaction product and water.
CONSTITUTION: A desired polymer is dissolved and a water soluble film forming polymer (A) having the viscosity of less than around 150 centipose is obtained. Then, an organo-functional trialkoxysilane and its mixture (B) are selected from silane compounds. A fatty acid and an amine are reacted to obtain a cationic fiber lubricant (C). Then, a polycarboxylic acid and a polyalkylene polyamide are reacted to obtain an epichlorohydrin polyamide reaction product (D). Then, the A component, 0.4-20 weight % B component, 0.1-15 weight % C component, about 0.4 weight % D component are mixed into water (E). A chemical composition (F) showing the viscosity of 0.6-50 centipoise at the temperature of not more than 60°C is produced. The F component is adhered to glass fibers if need and the treated fibers are formed.
