Abstract:
Provided is a chemical heat-storage material that stores heat using a dehydration reaction of a hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal, said chemical heat-storage material exhibiting a higher reaction rate and enabling heat storage at a lower temperature. Also provided is a chemical heat pump for using said chemical heat-storage material to store and emit heat. The chemical heat-storage material contains an oxide and/or a hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal, and an acid, the acid content being 0.05–30mol% with respect to the alkaline earth metal. The chemical heat pump (10) uses an endothermic dehydration reaction and an exothermic hydration reaction, and comprises: a reactor (11) that accommodates the chemical heat-storage material (21) containing an oxide and/or hydroxide of an alkaline earth metal; a heat-supply means (12) that is thermally connected to the reactor and supplies heat from outside to the chemical heat-storage material; a heat-recovery means (13) that is thermally connected to the reactor and extracts heat created from the chemical heat-storage material to the outside; a storage tank (14) that stores water (22); a connecting pipe (15) that connects the reactor and the storage tank, and through which water passes; and an acid-supply mechanism (17) that supplies acid into the chemical heat pump.
