Abstract:

To provide chemical solution to form an oxide coating that has an improved insulation property and cannot cause hillocks to be generated easily while the chemical solution is used for the anode oxidation of metal, especially aluminum and an aluminum alloy, a method for forming a metal oxide coating using the formation liquid, and metal for forming the oxide coating by the method.

The chemical solution is used for forming a metal oxide coating while containing the salt of fat-family dicarboxilic acid salt with 7-20 carbons as a dissolved substance (1). The method is used to form the metal oxide coating including a process for performing the anode oxidation of metal in the chemical solution being listed in 1 (2). Finally, the metal is used to form the oxide coating on a surface by the method in 2 (3).
