Abstract:

To provide chewing gum solving such a problem that gargle with mouthwash does not work on prevention of cold syndrome because it is practically difficult to strictly carry out the gargle with mouthwash for preventing cold syndrome, and it is popular to temporarily gargle after being infected with the cold syndrome.

This chewing gum is obtained by selectively containing povidone iodine, azulene sodium sulfonic acid, dequalinium chloride, domiphen bromide, chlorhexidine gluconate, methyl salicylate, cetylpyridinium chloride, or the like, in gum base as ingredients having functions of disinfecting and sterilizing the oral cavity and the throat.
