PURPOSE: To obtain a childcare powdered milk having a neutralizing ability of bacterial toxin by blending the childcare powdered milk with a sialic acid-bonded peptide or sialic acid-bonded oligosaccharide.
CONSTITUTION: Childcare powdered milk blended with a sialic acid-bonded peptide and/or a sialic acid-bonded oligosaccharide. Sialic acid-bonded peptide prepared by treating a sialic acid bonded-protein derived from protein such as cow's milk with protease is preferable as the sialic acid-bonded peptide. Sialyllactose in a sialic acid- bonded oligosaccharide is contained in milk in a large amount and especially preferable with respect to the above-mentioned aim. The amount of the sialic acid-bonded peptide or sialic acid-bonded oligosaccharide based on the childcare powdered milk is ≥3mg wt.% in the case of sialic acid-bonded peptide alone and ≥3 mg wt.% also in the case of sialic acid-bonded oligosaccharide alone in terms of supplying a neutralizing ability of bacterial toxin similar to mother's milk. When childcare powdered milk is blended with both sialic acid-bonded peptide and sialic acid-bonded oligosaccharide, the blending ratio and the amounts of both the components are preferably determined by taking the neutralizing ability of bacterial toxin of the components into account.
