Abstract:
To provide a chill vent insert which enables easy releasing of a material solidified within a gas vent path at die opening, with which design flexibility of chill vent arrangement is made high, and can easily cope with design changes, such as new installation, extension and movement of the chill vent for an existing die.
The insert structure comprising separating the chill vent provided with a vent path 4 communicating with the cavity of the die from a die body is employed. Releasing means 5 to 8 for extruding the material solidified within the gas vent path 4 to chill vent insert 1 are built into the die body in the state of being made independent from a die parting mechanism for the products of the die body.
