Abstract:
To provide an infectious attenuated virus useful as a vaccine of diseases caused by flavivirus.
The chimeric live, infectious, attenuated virus containing yellow fever virus is provided in which, as a result that the nucleotide sequence encoding a protein prM-E receives any of deletion, truncation or mutation, the functional protein prM-E is not expressed, but as a result that a nucleotide sequence encoding the protein prM-E of a second different flavivirus is integrated into the genome of the yellow fever virus, the protein prM-E of the second flavivirus is expressed.
