To provide a Chinese top which anyone can play by rotating it with ease at a high speed without skill and is capable of reducing the friction of a cord to be used for rotating the top.

A Chinese top 11 is constituted approximately in the shape of a hand drum by connecting a pair of rotating bodies 12 to each other by a shaft part 13, and the shaft part 13 is provided with an inner shaft 15 fixed to the pair of rotating bodies 12, a rotation-freely provided tubular outer shaft 16 with which the inner shaft 15 is covered and on which a cord is to be wound, and a one-way bearing 14 provided between the outer shaft 16 and the inner shaft 15 to allow the outer shaft 16 to rotate only in one direction. The Chinese top 11 is provided with a rotation-driving force only in one direction by the work of the one-way bearing 14 and the reciprocation of a cord 5, and it is possible to rotate the Chinese top 11 in one direction at a high speed only by simply reciprocating the cord 5 to maintain its rotation for a long time.
