Abstract:
PURPOSE: To prevent formation of an icicle type mass of chips by removing accumulation of the chips on a table surface at an early point of time.
CONSTITUTION: Accumulation of chips high in an icicle shape is prevented by providing a cutter 14 relatively moving against a table surface 4a below a grinding point of a work W and cutting the chips 5 attached on the table surface 4a by the cutter 14 close to the table surface 4a, for example, by way of moving a table 4 after completing grinding.
