PURPOSE: To provide the chip expelling device capable of being compactly constituted and of rapidly and smoothly discharging and treating chips produced at a large quantity.

CONSTITUTION: A gutterlike chip reservoir 14 is provided in the underside of working space depending on cutting tools T1, T4-T6. The dust collection port 19 of a vacuum means G is connected to the chip reservoir 14. Further blades 15a, 15b are provided in the upper part of the chip reservoir 14 and turned in a horizontal attitude and an oblique attitude by actuation of hydraulic cylinders 16a, 16b. When the blades 15a, 15b are in the horizontal attitude, the upper space of the chip reservoir 14 is closed. Further when the same are in the oblique attitude, the lower end parts are faced to the tip reservoir 14 and the upper space is opened.
