Title:
CHIP PULVERIZING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH07308844
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To separate and remove liquid such as cutting lubricant sticking to chips produced during machining, with the use of a single pulverizing device, and to pulverize the chips so as to automatically discharge foreign object mingled in the chips.

CONSTITUTION: In a pulverizing device composed of a rotary hammer 5 incorporated in the lower part of a cylindrical container, pulverizing protrusions 6 formed on the rotary hammer 5, a rotary disc incorporated in the container above the hammer, and a chip discharge outlet formed in the bottom part of the container, circumferential grooves and liquid discharge holes 15 are formed at predetermined pitches in the inner wall of the container 2 in a part between the level of the rotary disc and the upper part of a pulverizing protrusion attaching part. Further, chips are rotated along the circumferential grooves by chip rotating blades 14', and liquid such as cutting lubricant separated from the chips under centrifugal force or the like is discharged outside while the chips are pulverized in a pulverizing part in the lower part of the container. Further, foreign object mingled in the chips is subjected to abnormal discrete vibration or the like which occurs when it receives shocks in the pulverizing part, so as to be disposed and is then discharged outside through an opened foreign object discharge door 35.
