To improve the accuracy of separating good chips from bad chips and inspecting these and achieve reduced cost and high-speed carriage by avoiding the defect of a holding part in holding the chips, allowing accurate transfer without temporarily stopping a first turntable and a second turntable, and holding the chips at their two faces for the observation and inspection of their appearances at various angles.

This chip separating and carrying device comprises the first turntable 11 having the holding parts 11a, 12a formed by two sides having different lengths and right included angles and the second turntable 12 having a holding part 12a similarly to the first turntable and formed to be rotated in the same plane as that of the first turntable and in the opposite direction. The chips are jumped out of the holding part 11a, when carried with the first turntable 11, and transferred directly to the holding part 12a.
