Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain the title compsn. which gives a chipping-resistant coating film by compounding as the main components a specific water-base ethylene copolymer resin and a water-base polyurethane resin.
CONSTITUTION: The compsn. is prepd. by compounding a water-base ethylene copolymer resin and a water-base polyurethane resin in a wt. ratio of (15:85)-(50:50). The former resin is prepd. from a monomer mixture mainly comprising ethylene and a carboxylated, ethylenically unsatd. monomer and contains at least 10wt.% carboxyl groups at least part of which are bonded to the main chain.
