Abstract:
To obtain a new composition containing a volatile substance using antimicrobial chitosan, to provide a sustained-release carrier comprising the composition, and to provide a method for easily and inexpensively producing the carrier.
The new composition as a chitosan-volatile substance composition is obtained by containing the volatile substance in an aqueous solution that is prepared by aerating carbon dioxide in water to dissolve chitosan therein. The sustained-release carrier for the volatile substance comprises the above composition.
