Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain a color change of a rubber composition after storage in a metal container such as a tin plate container by mixing a chloroprene-based rubber with a specific nitrogen-containing compound and/or a hydrotalsite compound.
SOLUTION: A rubber composition includes a chloroprene-based rubber and at least one of the compounds A and B wherein the compound A is represented by the formula described below (wherein R1, R2 and R3 are each hydrogen, CnH2n+1 or CnH2nOH and they may be identical or different; and n is an integer of 1-10) and the compound B is a hydrotalsite. The content of the compound A or B is 0.01-20 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the chloroprene-based rubber. The compounds A and B may be contained at the same time. The chloroprene-based rubber to be used includes a homopolymer or a copolymer of a chloroprene or a grafted copolymer of an isoprene rubber and a (meth)acrylate.
