PURPOSE: To attain the correction of a phase of a chroma component only, by controlling and switching sequentially the pass of a phase compensation channel of a reproduced color video signal alternatively at each generation of a track jump command signal.
CONSTITUTION: The frequency versus the amplitude characteristics of equalizers 14, 15 have almost flat characteristics at all frequency bands of a reproduced color video signal and the frequency versus a phase and group delay characteristics are set as shown in Figure. The level of the reproduced color video signals through both the equalizers 14, 15 are equal and the energy of the luminance component is large, the group delay characteristic up to around 1MHz is 100ns, and they are both equal, and the phase of the chroma component is -90° and -270° respectively and the difference is 180°. The output of the two equalizers is switched alternately at each jumping into a line output, then the phase of the chroma component only is corrected by 180° and most of the luminance component is not subject to a phase shift.
