Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject cigarette extremely low in tar release and having favorable inhaling resistance and virtually constant flavor irrespective of the smoke flow inhaled by a relevant smoker, by providing a cigarette segment with each specific filter and rolled letter paper by an assembly sleeve.
SOLUTION: A cigarette segment T1 is provided with a filter having airpermeating zone and having a segment T3 of low inhalation resistance on the mouth side and a segment T2 of high inhalation resistance on the cigarette side by an air-permeable assembly rolled letter paper G2 and an assembly sleeve M. Both the segments T2 and T3 are assembled in close proximity to each other by the assembly rolled letter paper G2, and at least the segment T3 situated in the air-permeating zone or its downstream side is wrapped with a thin porous paper G1 bearing a flavoring substance.
