Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cigarette inspecting device which can easily and precisely measure the length of a cigarette.
SOLUTION: This inspecting device is equipped with rollers 22 and 22 on which a cigarette C is placed horizontally in a fixed direction, a depression piece 14c which conveys the cigarette horizontally onto the rollers by pushing one end part and adjusts the position of the one end part of the cigarette, and a sensor 28 which optically detects the position of the other end part of the cigarette placed as mentioned above by using slit light to measure the length of the cigarette, and measures the length of the cigarette in the horizontal state to perform a high-precision measurement while solving problems of the measuring attitude, thickness, etc., of the cigarette.
