Abstract:
NEW MATERIAL:A compound (salt) of the formula (R is pantoyl, pantothenyl or 3-aminopropionyl).
EXAMPLE: Calcium salt of pantoylciliatine.
USE: An antimicrobial agent for Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and fungi, medicine, veterinary medicine and agricultural and horticultural agent.
PROCESS: An ester of ciliatine is subjected to the ordianry peptide synthesis in a solvent, e.g. anhydrous methanol, ethanol or tetrahydrofuran (THF), or ciliatine as a raw material is directly condensed by the ring opening of the lactone ring or mixed acid anhydride method.
