Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ciphering device which simultaneously ciphers a plurality of material data by ciphering material data which is made into a packet according to need, based on corresponding ciphering information to respective packets.
SOLUTION: A data encoding controller 5 sends control signals S1 to the corresponding one of a plurality of data encoders 6A-6N for broadcasting material encoding processing and controls it. Control headers showing whether data D1A-D1N and D2A-D2N of broadcasting materials, which are read from a recording/reproducing part 7 or fetched from the outside, are ciphered or not are added and are sequentially made into packets. Then, data in the corresponding packet is ciphered, based on the control header. Thus, the data encoders 5A-6N which can execute a processing while switching a ciphering processing in packet units and simultaneously cipher data D1A-D1N and D2A-D2N of a plurality of broadcasting materials can be realized.
