Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform processing of circles having desired radii different in size by a method wherein the base ends of a pair of arms crossing each other are individually pivotally supported on a pair of respective rotating members and a nozzle for processing is mounted on the tips, pivotally mounted by a common shaft, of the two arms, and the rotation directions of a pair of the rotating members are controlled.
SOLUTION: From a value of the radius of a circle or a circular arc to be machined, eccentric amounts of rotary rings 11 and 12 are computed. When the rotary rings 11 and 12 are rotated in a reverse direction to each other in an angle arc of 1/2 of respective eccentric amounts by motors 16 and 17, the rotating rings crosses each other. A nozzle 13 mounted on the tips, pivotally mounted on a common shaft, of the arms 14 and 15 having base ends pivotally supported at the rotating rings 11 and 12 is moved in the direction of a straight line extending radially from the center of the rotating ring. Meanwhile, when the two rotating rings 11 and 12 are rotated in the same direction at the same speed, the nozzle 13 is moved on an arcuate locus, having a radius being a distance between the nozzle 13 and the center of the rotating ring, around the center of the rotating ring and circular machining is applied on an article.
