Abstract:
To suppress a flow of a current larger than an allowable current through an electric wire connected to a breaker.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 10 includes a connection terminal 101 to which a conductor 211 of an electric wire 21 is directly and electrically connected, a contact portion 11 connected to the connection terminal 101, a withdrawing portion 12 that performs withdrawing operation to turn off the contact portion 11 when a current exceeding a current threshold value determined according to a rated current flows through the contact portion 11, a measurement unit 16 that measures the diameter of the conductor 211 connected to the connection terminal 101, an estimation unit 171 that estimates the allowable current of the electric wire 21 on the basis of the diameter of the conductor 211 measured by the measurement unit 16, and a limiting unit 173 that perform limiting operation to limit the current exceeding the allowable current from flowing to the electric wire 21 on the basis of the comparison result between the allowable current estimated by the estimation unit 171 and the rated current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
