Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an arc, generated between a fixed contact and a movable contact, from being extended beyond the ends of a plurality of arc-extinguishing plates on the arc gas exhaust port side, and connected again.SOLUTION: An arc-extinguishing device 20 includes a pair of sidewalls 2b, an intermediate wall 2a coupled between the pair of sidewalls 2b, a plurality of U-shaped arc-extinguishing plates 21-29 laminated and supported between the pair of sidewalls at predetermined intervals and in which a recess 30 for passing a movable contact 5 is formed, and an arc gas exhaust port 13 provided at a part of the intermediate wall. The plurality of arc-extinguishing plates are constituted of magnetic arc-extinguishing plates 23, 25, 27-29, and insulating arc-extinguishing plates 21, 22, 24, 26. The insulating arc-extinguishing plate 24 is arranged between two magnetic arc-extinguishing plates 23, 25, and brought into tight contact with the pair of sidewalls and the inside of the intermediate wall, by providing a swollen part 33 at the end of the magnetic arc-extinguishing plate.
