Abstract:
A circuit breaker can be obtained which can be used when a power supply side and a load side cannot be reversely connected, or can detect a connection state exceeding a limitation and achieve an open circuit so as to avoid faults caused by insulation deterioration when usable voltage is limited. The circuit breaker comprises an open/close contact that opens and closes an AC circuit; an converter that is provided in the AC circuit and detects a current flowing in the AC circuit; and an overcurrent trip circuit that outputs a trip-out signal based on a signal detected by the converter; a trip device that is energized by a trip signal and separates the open and close contacts; and an auxiliary contact that opens and closes in conjunction with the open and close contacts, wherein the overcurrent trip circuit also outputs the trip signal to the trip device when the auxiliary contact is open and the AC line voltage exceeds the specified value.
