Abstract:
To provide a circuit breaker capable of quickly commutating an arc from a fixed contactor and a movable contactor to arc horns.SOLUTION: A circuit breaker 10 comprises: a fixed contactor 20; a movable contactor 22 which moves toward and away from the fixed contactor 20; a fixed contact 34 provided on the fixed contactor 20; a movable contact 30, provided on the movable contactor 22, which comes into contact with or separate from the fixed contact 34; an auxiliary arc horn 28 and a main arc horn 40 which commutate an arc A generated when the movable contact 30 separates from the fixed contact 34; a grid 38 which extinguishes the arc A commutated by the main arc horn 40; and a magnetism collecting member 32 provided on the fixed contactor 20. The magnetism collecting member 32 is a U-shaped magnetic body, and it is provided so as to close both sides across the fixed contact 34 with lateral walls 32b and close the right side with a rear face portion 32a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
