Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a circuit for detecting a battery voltage suitable for a battery unit and having a high redretion for the power consumption of the portection circuit of a battery charger.
CONSTITUTION: A timing signal generating circuit 14 which supplies first timing signals of time t1 for controlling the operating timing of overdischarge detecting circuits to at least the overcharge detecting circuits of two kinds of detecting circuits of overcharge detecting circuits 13-1 and 13-2 and overdischarge detecting circuits 14-1 and 14-2 and a data processing section 15 which discriminates the presence/absence of overcharge by processing the output signals of the circuits 13-l and 13-2 operated by the first timing signals and, upon detecting overcharge, turns off a switch S11 are connected to a circuit for detecting voltage of battery.
