Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a technology by which the turning-off time of a power transistor can be reduced. CONSTITUTION: In a circuit and method for driving an inductive load 53, a transistor 51 which has a current route connected to supply a drive current to the load 53 from its output node N2 and a control element which controls the current in the first current route and a second transistor 58, which has a current route connected between the control element of the first transistor 51 and the output node N2 and a control element, which controls the current in the current route, are used. A capacitor 60 is connected between the control element of the transistor 58 and a reference voltage, and a rectifier 62 is connected between the output node N2 of the first transistor 51 and the capacitor 60.
