PURPOSE: To attain a circuit switching operation in a fine unit to a partial fault by giving an optimum circuit switching instruction to a circuit switching device via a communication control processor of a normal state in accordance with the contents of the fault of the communication control processor detected by a host computer.
CONSTITUTION: A host computer 10 detects the fault of a communication control processor 20 and then analyzes the contents of the fault. Meanwhile a communication controller 30 which received a circuit switching command informs a switching control part 40-1 of a circuit switching device 40 of the circuit switching command of the computer 10 via a circuit switching interface 300. Thus the part 40-1 switches the circuit to connect the circuit groups 400-1-400-4 to the circuits 300-1-300-4 of the controller respectively. When this circuit switching operation is complete, a switching end is reported to the controller 30 via the interface 300. Thus the controller 30 reports the circuit switching end to the computer 10.
