Abstract:
The changing of the setting positions of a dentist's chair takes place by inputting adjustment signals into the movement device of the chair, these signals being related to actual setting information of the movement device by means of a comparator (6). The control of the movement takes place on the basis of the difference between setting signal and position signal in accordance with the actual setting information. The setting positions are specified by individual code combinations which are stored in a memory (5). A forward/backward counter (4) is set to a specific count value in accordance with the respective position. The comparator (6) which is connected to the counter (4) and to the memory (5) supplies to the movement device an output signal in the form of a control signal when there is a difference between the signals (Z, A), to be compared with one another in each case, from the counter and from the memory.
