To effectively utilize quantity of heat flowing out of a fluidized bed incinera tor in a drying process by a method wherein hot sands being fluidizing medium of a fluidized bed incinerator, as a heat source, flow into a fluidized bed drier and exhaust gas of the fluidized bed incinerator, as a fluidizing gas, flows into the fluidized bed drier.
Combustion gas flows upwards through a riser 12 and exhaust gas flows from an upper end of the riser into a hot cyclone 14 together with fly ashes and hot sands being a fluiding medium 9. The cyclone 14 separates the hot sands in the combustion gas and the separated hot sands are recovered from a separated solid discharge port 26 as heat sources for a drying chamber 4 of a fluidized bed drier 2. On the other hand, after the ashes are removed, the exhaust gas flowing through an exhaust gas discharge line 15 flows through a waste heat boiler 17, as a heat source fluid, and then flows into a heat exchanger 18 and into an exhaust gas processing device 19 comprising an ash cyclone for collecting ash, a dust collector etc., and is discharged to the outside from a stack 16 by means of a fan device 20. And a part of the exhaust gas is passed through an exhaust gas circulation line 22 and a drier fluidizing gas feed line 21 of the drier 2 so as to flow into the drying chamber 4 as a fluidizing gas.
