Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the titled composition giving a vulcanizate having high tensile stress and excellent strength, by compounding a synthetic cis-1,4-polyisoprene rubber containing epoxy group with a compound containing plural primary amino groups and a sulfur-containing vulcanizing agent.

CONSTITUTION: The objective composition is obtained by mixing (A) 100pts.wt. of a synthetic cis-1,4-polyisoprene rubber having a Mooney viscosity of preferably ≥30 and having preferably 0.1W1.0 epoxy group per 100 isoprene monomer units, with (B) preferably 0.1W2.0pts.wt. of an aliphatic, alicyclic, or aromatic primary polybasic amino compound having at least two primary amino groups (e.g. ethylenediamine), (C) a definite amount of a sulfur-containing vulcanizing agent such as a sulfur-donative compound (e.g. tetramethyl thiuram disulfide), and (D) proper amounts of reinforcing agent, filler, etc.

USE: Tire, belt, etc.
