To provide a civil engineering or building material capable of sufficiently proofing water by effectively preventing noise and vibration in a simple work and provide a trouble-free caisson mat based on the adhesiveness thereof to concrete.
This civil engineering or building material formed by stacking an elastic body and a metal plate is used for a mold frame, the caisson mat, a floor mat of a building such as a warehouse. Since the material is formed in the stacked structure of the metal plate and the elastic body, the material is excellent in soundproofness, vibrationproofness, and waterproofness. In the caisson mat, the elastic body is formed integrally with the concrete through metal, and the elastic body and the metal plate are stuck with each other on the entire surfaces. Accordingly, the adhesive strength thereof is large, and when the caisson is installed, the caisson can be installed easily without causing the peeling-off of rubber.
