To provide a civil engineering structure (revetment) which enables a surface of a surface layer to be easily formed into a substantially flat surface by a surface of each wall surface material, even when a work burden is not increased.
A concrete layer 19 is provided on a slope face 3; and the surface layer 1A is formed on the surface side of the concrete layer by using a plurality of construction material 5 for the civil engineering structure. In each construction material for the civil engineering structure, a natural stone 6 is in the state of being supported by a supporting rod 7 and a regulation member at the other end of the supporting rod. In construction, even when a particularly large guide wall material is not installed, the supporting rod and the regulation member can prevent each natural stone from sinking into the concrete layer on the basis of each load thereof, so as to make the amount of protrusion of each natural stone from the concrete layer uniform. In addition, basically, each natural stone is structurally supported by the supporting rod and the regulation member; consideration does not have to be given to concrete injection timing, the hardening of the concrete layer, etc.; and a construction period of the revetment 1 can be shortened.
