First magnets 23 of a rotor and inner-peripheral-side poles 31d-33d of stator rings 31-33 of each phase respectively serving as annular members are arranged oppositely to each other in a motor radial direction while second magnets 24 of the rotor and outer-peripheral-side poles 31e-33e are also similarly arranged. Annular U-V-phase coils 34a, 34b provided between the stator rings 31-33 of each phase are made conductive to V-W-phase coils 35a, 35b. Consequently, rotating magnetic fields occurring in the inner-peripheral-side poles 31d-33d and those occurring in the outer-peripheral-side poles 31e-33e respectively act on the first/second magnets 23, 24 so as to rotate the rotor.
