Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a cleaner based on a nonhalogenated solvent, having no problem in safety and environmental pollution and having powerful solvency for inks and pastes by using a specified ester compound as an effective component.
SOLUTION: This cleaner contains at least one ester compound selected from among acetoacetic esters represented by the formula: CH3COCH2COOR1 (wherein R1 is a 1-8C alkyl, a cycloalkyl or benzyl) and glycol diesters represented by the formula: R2COO(CnH2nO)mCOR3 (wherein R2 and R3 are each a 1-6C alkyl; (n) is 2-5; and (m) is 1-4) as an effective component. The acetoacetic ester and the glycol diester are usually used in an amount of 5-100, desirably 10-90, more desirably 15-80wt.% based on the cleaner. It may optionally contain at least one member (e.g. methyl α-methoxyisobutyrate) selected from among specified hydroxyisobutyric esters.
