PURPOSE: To swing a duct without any operating member provided between a traveling driving source of the duct and the bottom opening end far from the traveling driving source, by swinging the bottom opening end of the duct utilizing the change in air pressure.

CONSTITUTION: A cleaning apparatus in the textile machine having a back plate 48 of a swinging duct 20 connected to the bottom of a duct 18, a weight fixed on the inner surface of the back plate 48, one end of a control plate 53 of an air flow control device pivoted on the shaft 23 and a free end 54 thereof engaged with the top of a cam roll 55 fixed on the shaft 24. Thus, the control plate 53 engaged with a cam surface (55b) is reciprocated almost up and down with the shaft 23 as a center as wheels 21 and 22 of the cleaning apparatus rotate. If the distance between an opening surface (31a) of a fan box 27 and a working surface 52 is increased, the flow rate of air blown from the duct 18 is increased to increase the flow rate of air on a tilted urface (46a) of the swinging duct 20. Thus, the swinging duct 20 is tilted by an angle (θ1).
