Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a stable cleaning property for a long time in a wide temp. range by using a cleaning blade made from a specified urethane elastomer.
SOLUTION: This cleaning blade consists of a blade member, a supporting member and an adhesive layer. The blade member consists of an urethane elastomer produced by the hardening reaction of 3-methyl-1,5-pentane diol and polyisocyanate. Since 3-methyl-1,5-pentane dial has one methyl group on the side chain and has various structures, the temp. dependence of tan δ is small. 3-methyl-1,5-pentane diol having 1500-4000 average mol.wt. is preferable. Or, such a 3-methyl-1,5-pentane dial is preferable that has >3.5 ratio of (weight average mol.wt. Mw)/(number average mol.wt. Mn) which is the index of the mol.wt. distribution.
