PURPOSE: To improve a cleaning function for a long period without staining the circumferential edge part of a photoreceptor, by supporting rotating brushes provided to both end parts of a blade pivotally on a blade holder so that the brushes contact the surfaces of the photoreceptor.

CONSTITUTION: The blade 2 contacting the photoreceptor is supported pivotally on the blade holder 7 with a brush shaft 11, and rotating brushes 8 are attached to the both end parts of the blade 2. Both end parts of the blade 2 are easy to curve according to the rotation of the photoreceptor because of its elasticity, and consequently a toner stained part formed at the circumferential edge part of the photoreceptor is scraped with the brushes 8 to eliminate the caking of the residual toner sticking to the blade end parts. Consequently, the life of the blade 2 is prolonged and a copy of excellent image quality is taken by the simple constitution.
