Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce the abrasion of a cleaning roller by rubbing an elastic body brush against the cleaning roller while rotating the brush, and scraping residual toner off the cleaning roller.
CONSTITUTION: The elastic body brush 9 is brought into contact with the peripheral surface of the cleaning roller 8 and the residual toner on the cleaning roller 8 is therefore scraped off. This roller 9 is rotatable and also driven to rotate in synchronism with the cleaning roller 8 so that the relative speed difference between the peripheral speed of the surface of the cleaning roller 8 and the peripheral speed of the tip of the brush 9 is specified.
