This cleaning implement consists of the wiping cloth 1 for picked up dust made to a sheet form consisting of a non-woven fabric, tissue paper, etc., and a main body 2A of the cleaning implement for mounting this cloth. The main body 2A of the cleaning implement consists of a handle 3 for gripping, the base body 4A for mounting mounted at the front end of this handle 3 and the elastic plate 5A mounted to face longitudinal so as to hang down long downward at the base body 4A for mounting. The elastic plate 5A is formed to the flat planar form by the blank consisting of rubber, etc., having the flexibility and elasticity and is mounted to face longitudinal at the base body 4A for mounting by clamping its top end to the base body. The cleaning implement is used by mounting the wiping cloth 1 at the main body 2A of the cleaning implement so as to cover the rear surface and front and back surfaces of the elastic plate 5A and wiping a floor surface with the elastic plate.
