PURPOSE: To improve the cleaning and lustering effect by emulsifying an organopolysiloxane with a specified surfactant.
CONSTITUTION: A polyorganosiloxane having a viscosity of 100-10,000cSt is emulsified by adding thereto a surfactant consisting of 5-15wt.% ammonium salt of a fatty acid and 10-60wt.% anionic surfactant (e.g. morpholine oleate). The obtained emulsion is mixed with 3-10wt.% 5C or lower alcohol (e.g. methanol) and 1-3wt.% liquid 8C or higher iso-alcohol (e.g. 2-ethylhexyl alcohol) to give a cleaning and lustering agent. The lustering agent is sprayed onto a surface to be cleaned so that it is foamed, a higher iso-alcohol film is formed on the surface, the organopolysiloxane is deposited from the emulsion due to the decomposition of the ammonium salt of fatty acid, and contaminants and the foamed lustering fluid are allowed to flow down along the surface to be cleaned.
