Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suitably remove carbon-containing solid fuel which is deposited in an air supply duct from the interior of an air supply duct.SOLUTION: A vertical mill includes: a hollow shaped housing; a grinding table which is supported rotatably with respect to the housing around a rotation shaft as a center substantially along vertical direction; a grinding roller which grinds coal on the grinding table; and an air supply duct 3 which supplies transportation air for transporting ground coal to an external part of the housing. In the air supply duct 3, a plurality of assist gas ejection nozzles 31 which eject assist gas 32 toward a duct outlet 25 are provided in a horizontal width direction of the air supply duct 3 so as to run along a rotation orbital of the grinding table, and ejection amount of assist gas 32 is set so as to be more in an area of the front side in a proceeding direction of rotation motion of the grinding table than in an area of the rear side of the proceeding direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
