Abstract:

To efficiently remove scum and other foreign matters mixed into a cleaning solution in a cleaning solution circulating path provided for a strip cleaning apparatus.

A scum suction device 4 is installed in a cleaning solution tank 2 provided at a cleaning solution circulating path 3 of a strip cleaning apparatus 1, and a cleaning solution mainly containing scum sucked in by the scum suction device 4 is supplied to a scum separation device 7 so as to fill the scum separation device 7. Thereafter, the scum is allowed to float and is scraped out by a scraper, and foreign matters such as an iron powder is precipitated, deposited and discharged from the lower end part of the scum separation device 7. Meanwhile, the treatment of the cleaning solution is continuously carried out by filling a scum separation device 6 with the cleaning solution mainly containing the scum using the scum suction device 4 and allowing the scum to float and at the same time, precipitating and depositing the foreign matters such as the iron powder.
