To provide a clearance tape capable of contributing to life saving by relieving the heat in wearing of a life jacket, which is the heavy equipment in a hot weather, and simplifying the wearing.

A clearance material (Figure 1) is sewn on an inner surface of a life jacket and a bulletproof vest to provide the clearance between the jacket and a human body, whereby the outside air can flow between the jacket or vest and the human body, and the heat can be relieved. The clearance material (Figure 1) is composed of a straight hair part 2 and a plain weave part 3. A constant distance can be kept between the jacket or vest and the human body by the straight bristle part 2 having the sufficient strength preventing bending, and this space is used as an air flowing layer. The flow of the outside air is not disturbed by providing the straight bristle part 2 with the proper density, and the plain weave part 3 improves the flow of the air.
