Abstract:

To prevent a useless server access to decrease a load of a server.

This client device is connected to the server which stores associated information in only a specific content, and manages a table representing whether or not the associated information is present for each content, and the client device comprises: means for downloading the table from the server (#4); and a means for determining whether or not the server stores the associated information of playback contents by reference to the downloaded table in the course of playback of the contents (#12), and for sending a request for obtaining the associated information of the playback contents to the server when the server stores it (#14).
