PURPOSE: To automatically position a spacer by erecting a projection part for supporting the lower edge part of the spacer onto the upper surface of a head part which is arranged at the upper edge of a neck part for holding a sealing member and places the spacer in the sealing member.

CONSTITUTION: A clip 11 is equipped with a leg part 12 engaged in an installation hole on a car body panel, neck part 13 which is arranged at the upper edge of the leg part 12 and holds a sealing member 3, and a head part 14 arranged at the upper edge of the neck part 13. In this case, a cylindrical projection part 15 having a small diameter is erected on the upper surface 14a of the head part 14. When a spacer 4 is accommodated into the sealing member 3 by opening the both lips 3c and 3d, the lower edge part 4b of the spacer 4 is collided with the top edge part 16 of the projection part 15 and recessed upwardly. In other words, the spacer 4 is supported by the projection part 15, and automatically positioned in the sealing member 3. Therefore, positioning of the spacer 4 in the sealing member 3 is surely carried out in simple manners.
