Abstract:
PURPOSE: To simplify a clock control and to decrease a switching time in the network system for synchronization network ring configuration.
CONSTITUTION: Each CLK switching control processing section 101 of slave stations 11, 13-17 monitors a direction of reference clock extraction from a synchronization network reference CLK generator 104 of a master station 10 or 12. On the occurrence of a fault at a point A of transmission lines 102, 103, the slave station 15 detecting the interruption of a reference clock sends a clock switching request d1 to the transmission line 102 in the clock extraction direction. The clock switching request d1 is terminated by the master station 10 (or a slave station extracting the reference clock in the opposite direction to that by the station whose reference clock interruption is detected). The stations 15-17 sequentially switch the reference clock by allowing the transmission station 10 terminating the clock request to return the clock switching signal to the transmission station 15 detecting the clock interruption.
