To provide a clock which can readily read out the time in the same sense as in conventional clocks, even though its design is novel and which can reduce the load applied to movement.
The clock is composed of a support frame body 2 which is equipped with a time display part 1; a disk 5 for a long hand, and a disk 6 for a short hand, which are installed at the body 2 so as to be freely rotatable and in which tooth parts 3, 4 are formed on their outer circumferences; a gear mechanism 7 which is engaged with the tooth parts 3, 4, formed on the outer circumferences of the disk 5 for the long hand and the disk 6 for the short hand and a drive motor 8, which turns the disk 5 for the long hand; and the disk 6, for the short hand, via the gear mechanism 7. An indication mark 22 for the long hand, and an indication mark 23 for the short hand, which indicate a time mark 12 arranged in the part 1 are installed on the front side of the disk 5 for the long hand and on the front side of the disk 6 for the short hand, so as to be capable of being visually recognized from the outside of the body 2.
