PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece capable of emphasizing notation under a dark environment.SOLUTION: A timepiece includes: hands; light-emitting sources; a light guide plate 3 that includes a peripheral part 32 to which light diffusion processing for diffusing light from the light-emitting sources is applied, which also includes notation parts 34 surrounded by the peripheral part 32 while the light diffusion processing is not applied thereto and representing numbers, letters, symbols, graphics, scales or pictures, which are arranged on the back side of the hands, and on which light from the light-emitting sources is made incident; and colored notation parts 74 which are located in the notation parts 34, which have colors other than white, and which represents the numbers, letters, symbols, graphics, scales and pictures which are the same in the notation parts 34.
